National Trauma Institute Board of Directors
The National Trauma Institute is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors comprising leaders in the trauma field and representatives of the major trauma organizations throughout the country. Within the board structure, there are three working committees: the Executive Committee, Science Committee, and Development/Philanthropy Committee.
The Science Committee is responsible for the development of the national research agenda, issuance and communication of Requests for Proposals to a national audience, consideration of proposals, and recommendation of contracts and funds to be awarded. This committee will create Study Sections to provide expertise in the appropriate clinical research areas consistent with the national research agenda.
