Because trauma injury is so wide-ranging and devastating, there are myriad organizations dedicated to addressing different aspects of the trauma epidemic: from care provider groups of surgeons, nurses and medics; to groups who target specific traumatic events such as motor vehicle collisions or traumatic brain injuries; to those that care for and meet the needs of injured veterans. The National Trauma Institute is proud to support these groups where possible, recognizing that our mission—to reduce death and disability resulting from traumatic injury—goes hand-in-hand with their goals.
